Record or import audio

Start with a recording.

Record a piano performance with your device’s microphone, or open an audio file you already have. Piano Ink analyzes the recording to create piano notes and a score.

Microphone access is needed when you make a recording. Importing an existing audio file gives you another way to start.

For a clearer transcription, use a recording in which the piano is easy to hear. Background noise and overlapping instruments can affect the result.
